It is recognized by Ubuntu as Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 80211b/g Wireless Lan Controler. My computer would intermittently freeze for 5 seconds, but this is rare after I stopped Network Manager (sudo /etc/dbus-1/event.d/26NetworkManagerDispatcher stop) got my network's SSID (iwlist wlan0 scan) and configured the interface (sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid ) After installing the driver, use the command "ndiswrapper -a" to link the driver to the card. Works in Feisty with ndiswapper-utils and the Realtek Windows driver (net8185.inf). Need ndiswapper-utils and the Windows driver (BLKWGN.inf). WEP working out of the box with Hardy (8.04) Needs ndiswrapper-utils and the broadcom windows driver (belkin one doesn't seem to work). Alternatively, see Linksys WPC54GS with Speed Boost below. In Hoary, also change the value of radiostate from 1 to 0. Must install ndiswrapper-utils and your windows driver. Recognized by Dapper, but must use bcm43xx-fwcutter to get the firmware. Works well, after editing file Bel6020.inf to change every reference of Bel6020.sys to rtl8180.sys. Does not work on Dapper, or any kernel later than 2.6.12.
